Soft Magnetic Properties and Electromagnetic Shielding Performance of Fe<sub>40</sub>Ni<sub>40</sub>B<sub>20</sub> Microfibers

Fi40Ni40B20 metallic glass is a key material among the many amorphous systems investigated thus far, owing to its high strength and appealing soft magnetic properties that make it suitable for use as transformer cores. In this study, microfibers are fabricated down 5 µm diameter. Three different melt–spinning wheel velocities: ≈51 m s−1, ≈59 ≈63 s−1 (MG1, MG2, MG3) used. Their fully structure confirmed using X–ray diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) traces reveal larger relaxation profile higher–quenched microfiber. Vibrating sample magnetometer measurements showed higher saturation magnetization of 136 emug−1 annealed with velocity 59.66 ms−1. Cylindrical field shields obtained by aligning wrapping fibers around cast. The observed anisotropic static shielding behavior in accordance microfibers' nature. Composite samples also produced embedding an epoxy matrix investigate their electromagnetic at GHz frequencies. Inclusion increase composite's attenuation constant 20 25 times, making ideal candidate applications communications frequency range.
